A smart-city development sells a place and a way of life, not a single building. +Colonia (Mascolonia) sits on the Uruguayan coast near Colonia, and the developer needed buyers to grasp its scale, its districts and its connection to the wider region. We built it on the Vinode platform as an interactive 3D masterplan that people can explore district by district.
What we were selling
+Colonia is a smart-city development designed to attract tech talent and innovation, combining residential areas, education and sustainable technology on the coast near Colonia.

Why the usual tools fall short
A masterplan this large is hard to convey with renders and maps. The platform had to:
- Communicate the scale of the whole development, not just individual buildings.
- Let buyers move between districts and understand what each one offers.
- Place the project in its geography, including beaches, the marina and the route to Montevideo.
How we built it in Vinode
We built +Colonia as an interactive 3D masterplan that opens up the whole development and lets buyers explore it the way they would a real neighbourhood.
Navigable districts
The masterplan is organised into named districts, and buyers can move between the Sports, Wellness and Génesis zones and the nature reserve to see how the development is laid out and what each part is for.
Amenity and location hotspots
Interactive hotspots mark the amenities and points of interest that sell the lifestyle: the 7 km of beaches, the coastal running path, the marina and the central plaza. Connection markers and compass orientation set the project in its geography, from the main access road to the distance to Montevideo.
Runs anywhere
The whole masterplan loads directly in the browser with no app or download, so the developer can share one link with international buyers and present the same experience in the sales office.
