When you develop premium real estate in a historically and economically significant location, context is everything. Buyers invest in proximity to landmarks and future infrastructure, not just an apartment. For the Safa Almukaymen project in Medina, the developer needed a platform that could render not only the residential complex but the entire surrounding city. Using the Vinode 3D sales platform, we built a city-scale digital twin, government investment district included, without losing micro-level architectural detail.

Why the usual tools fall short
To justify the project's premium value, international investors needed to see exactly where it sits within Medina's urban expansion. The platform had to:
- Render a city-scale environment where the whole Medina skyline is visible.
- Model the anticipated government investment district in detail to show future ROI.
- Let users zoom seamlessly from a macro city view down to a single balcony.
- Keep loading fast on standard web browsers.
How we built it in Vinode
We built a custom, Unreal Engine-based Vinode environment made for extreme architectural scale and long draw distances.
A city-scale 3D environment
Rather than isolating the project against a generic background, we modelled the whole city context. Buyers orbit the Safa Almukaymen buildings against the Medina skyline and a detailed government investment district, investment context static maps cannot provide.
Macro-to-micro navigation
Pre-rendering means the city-scale environment loads in the browser in under a second, with no lag as users zoom from a bird's-eye view of the district down to the facade detail of a single unit.
Built for every device
On mobile, one-thumb navigation lets investors zoom out across the whole Medina landscape and filter the 535 units. On laptop, the widescreen carries the masterplan textures for a closer look at the government district before diving into floor plans. In the sales office, an offline kiosk lets advisors fly clients over the whole of Medina on a large display.
